{"id":341,"date":"2008-10-29T19:48:58","date_gmt":"2008-10-30T02:48:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/famille.org\/?p=341"},"modified":"2008-10-29T19:48:58","modified_gmt":"2008-10-30T02:48:58","slug":"whats-up-with-the-kids","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/famille.org\/?p=341","title":{"rendered":"What&#8217;s Up with the Kids?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aaron is done with JV soccer, and the AYSO regular season is over.\u00c2\u00a0 Tomorrow is a final practice \/ clinic (to help work those skills) and then Sunday is the big city-wide tournament.\u00c2\u00a0 After that, five months of no soccer.\u00c2\u00a0 AYSO starts again in April, and JV boys doesn&#8217;t run again until next fall.<\/p>\n<p>Ethan and Justin are both still in young athletes, going once a week to learn more Special Olypics stuff.\u00c2\u00a0 We had a lot of fun at the Special Olympics in Normal this summer, and looking forward to it again next year.\u00c2\u00a0 They&#8217;re also both in a swim class on Thursdays.<\/p>\n<p>Ethan is taking a cooking class after school.\u00c2\u00a0 He picked two extra-curricular activities (besides AYSO) &#8211; intramural soccer, and cooking.\u00c2\u00a0 He says after the last class, he&#8217;ll cook us all dinner.\u00c2\u00a0 I, for one, am looking forward to it.<\/p>\n<p>All this will be over with by mid-November, then we have Thanksgiving and then the &#8220;winter holidays&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 Then a few months of rest, and it all starts over again in the spring.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aaron is done with JV soccer, and the AYSO regular season is over.\u00c2\u00a0 Tomorrow is a final practice \/ clinic (to help work those skills) and then Sunday is the big city-wide tournament.\u00c2\u00a0 After that, five months of no soccer.\u00c2\u00a0 AYSO starts again in April, and JV boys doesn&#8217;t run again until next fall.
