{"id":209,"date":"2007-09-11T14:53:52","date_gmt":"2007-09-11T21:53:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/famille.org\/?p=209"},"modified":"2007-09-11T14:53:52","modified_gmt":"2007-09-11T21:53:52","slug":"swiss-banking-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/famille.org\/?p=209","title":{"rendered":"Swiss Banking Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During my recent travels to Zurich, I took a walking tour and during the tour I saw this:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"307\" height=\"230\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/famille.org\/blog-pictures\/DSC00953.JPG\" alt=\"lenin sign\" title=\"lenin sign\" \/>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who can&#8217;t read it, the full-size picture is <a href=\"http:\/\/famille.org\/blog-pictures\/DSC00953.JPG\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who can&#8217;t read German, it basically says that Lenin, the leader of the Russian Revolution, lived in this apartment.<\/p>\n<p>Interesting, huh?&nbsp; So what does that have with Swiss Banking Law?<\/p>\n<p>Well, see,when Lenin left exile in Switzerland at this apartment to go back to Russia and overthrow the Tzar, he took all his money out of his Swiss bank account&#8230; all except CHF8 (eight Swiss Francs). &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And there it remains, to this day, in his name, until a decendant of Lenin claims it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During my recent travels to Zurich, I took a walking tour and during the tour I saw this: &nbsp; For those of you who can&#8217;t read it, the full-size picture is here.&nbsp; For those of you who can&#8217;t read German, it basically says that Lenin, the leader of the Russian Revolution, lived in this apartment.
